"One of the songs that we mixed last week for the next Baseball Project album is quickly becoming an anthem for the Minnesota Twins who just clinched their division yesterday. The song was co-written and sung by the Hold Steady's Craig Finn, a Twin Cities native and (along with Linda) a huge Twins fan. The record won't be out until next February but this is a chance to get a sneak preview."

The minimalistic, folk-styled "Phenom" affectionately describes Strasburg's meteoric rise to the majors at 21 years old, just one year after being drafted. Singer and guitarist Steve Wynn, who wrote "Phenom," said he wanted to write the song from the pitcher's imagined perspective, which would be "a little wary of all of the early praise, a little fearful that the glory and the magic could fade away at any time and merely wanting to keep his head down and begin a distinguished, long career."

The 2010 version of "Medicine Show" available now!
After a 20-year wait, the Dream Syndicate's 2nd album "Medicine Show" finally returns to CD and this new version is an update worthy of the wait.
The 2010 digipack version of the 1984 classic features a sparkling, powerful sound, mastered from the original tapes as well as an expanded booklet with revelatory liner notes by David Fricke never seen before photos from the archives of Laura Levine.
And if that wasn't enough, this new version includes the entire "This Is Not The New Dream Syndicate.....Live" -including the lengthy workout of "John Coltrane Stereo Blues" which didn't make the cut on the original 1991 reissue.

Steve and the Miracle 3 will take a break from the recording of their new album with a 2-night stand at the 529 club in Atlanta to kick of the reissue of "Medicine Show" by The Dream Syndicate.
The band will play "Medicine Show" from start-to-finish the first night and then "The Days of Wine And Roses" on the second, both sets fortified with many extra songs both old and brand new.
